Mentorship Expression of Interest

This mentorship and leadership program is designed to support women and gender-diverse people in the nonprofit sector through connection, coaching-based mentorship, and real-world leadership development. Grounded in local sector insights, the program prioritizes trust, psychological safety, reflection, and reciprocal learning over traditional training approaches.

Participants consistently shared that meaningful leadership growth comes from authentic relationships, lived experience, and peer dialogue, not formal content-heavy training. This program reflects that by creating space for intentional connection and self-directed learning.

Time Commitment:

  • 1–3 hours per month for one year
  • Meetings occur during work hours
  • Participation in quarterly mentor/mentee gatherings
  • Optional participation in experiential learning sessions (2 hours/month) to:
    • Share expertise
    • Contribute to discussions
    • Support real-time leadership learning

Mentees will also participate in a structured experiential curriculum (approx. 2 hours/month) focused on applied leadership development.

Matching Approach:
Rather than assigning matches, mentors and mentees will have the opportunity to connect and self-select their mentorship pairing. This ensures alignment, chemistry, and shared goals, addressing a common challenge identified in past mentorship experiences.
